GGM Science College hosts expert talk on ‘motivation through goal setting’

Jammu, Apr : GGM Science College organized an expert talk on “Motivation Through Goal Setting,” helping students develop structured approaches to achieving success. The College Committee for Debates, Seminars, and Symposiums partnered with the NSS wing to host the event under Principal Prof. (Dr.) Romesh Kumar Gupta’s guidance.

Rizwan Uddin, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner for Jammu and Kashmir and noted motivational speaker, delivered the keynote address. He emphasized how goal setting transforms both personal and professional growth, encouraging students to take initiative despite uncertainties. “Uncertainty is certain, but it’s our mindset that matters,” he told attendees, stressing the importance of resilience.

Uddin outlined how clear objectives, self-discipline, and determination create pathways to success. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, he guided students in connecting aspirations with actionable steps. Students responded enthusiastically to his practical strategies.

Senior faculty attending included Prof. Vandana Khajuria, Dr. Narinder Kumar, and committee members Prof. Shalini Sharma, Dr. Neha Mahajan, Prof. Akanksha Parihar, Dr. Arun Kumar, Dr. Rohit Bhardwaj, and NSS Program Officer Prof. Neha Sharma. A question-answer session allowed students to seek guidance on overcoming obstacles to their goals.

Prof. Akanksha Parihar delivered the closing vote of thanks, acknowledging the speaker’s contributions and the organizing team’s efforts.
