General, police observer review election preparedness

Kishtwar, Apr 7: To review preparedness for the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 in Kishtwar district, General Observer for 4-Udhampur Parliamentary Constituency, Dheeraj Kumar and Police Observer, Daljit Singh today conducted a comprehensive meeting with Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) and Nodal Officers at the Conference Hall of DC Office Complex here during their two-day visit.

District Election Officer Kishtwar, Dr Devansh Yadav, Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar, Abdul Qayoom and other officers and officials were present.

During the meeting, the Observers emphasized the need for close coordination to assess and enhance election preparedness across the district.

Detailed discussions were held on various aspects, including the enforcement of  Model Code of Conduct, expenditure monitoring, security plans, transport and communication plans, intensifying SVEEP campaign and the functioning of VST and flying squads.
