Gear up for assembly polls: Dr Farooq Abdullah to NC cadres

Jammu, Aug 17: National Conference (NC) President Dr Farooq Abdullah today today asked his party cadres to gear up for the assembly elections.

According to a press note, he was addressing a party function here. Several political workers joined NC at the function.

Dr Farooq Abdullah welcomed them into the party fold. “Our party cadres must gear up for the assembly elections and make people aware of the key achievements of the National Conference,” he said. The NC President laid stress upon strengthening of Party base at the grassroots level to ensure a strong and united front in the elections.

He emphasised the Party's commitment to the development and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and assured that the NC will continue to work tirelessly for the welfare of the people.

According to the press release Sukhjit Singh, Retired AEE from PWD, State General Secretary BJP OBC J&K, President of Bhartiya Modi Army JKUT, and a Member of the State Level Consultative Committee Food Corporation of India, along with numerous BJP workers, officially joined the National Conference today. The induction ceremony took place at the residence of Dr Farooq Abdullah

Prominent NC leaders including Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, former Minister and Additional General Secretary, Rattan Lal Gupta, Provincial President Jammu Province, Ankush Abrol, Joint Secretary Jammu Province, Raghbir Singh Manhas, District President Jammu Rural A, and Dr Vikas, Secretary Central Zone were also present during the joining programme.
