Srinagar, Oct  11: Marib Fayaz, a third-semester student at Government Degree College Ganderbal, emerged victorious in the TechVaganza festival, securing the first prize in the tech competition held at the National Institute of Technology Srinagar.

The two-day annual techno-cultural fest, 'Techvaganza,' commenced on October 10.

The event showcased the creativity and talent of students from across the Kashmir Valley, with participants demonstrating their skills through a variety of programs.

Prof. Fouzia Fatima, Principal of Government Degree College Ganderbal, expressed her happiness over the outstanding achievements of the students, especially Marib Fayaz, calling it a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication of the students and a remarkable feat for the college.

Marib's project stood out among participants from various professional and multidisciplinary colleges, including students from the host institution, NIT Srinagar, showcasing exceptional innovation and expertise.

The Principal expressed heartfelt gratitude to the entire Computer Applications Department, including its Head, for this achievement and appreciated all participating students for their outstanding performance in the event.

In addition to Marib, other students, Abid Bashir (BCA 5th semester) and Moeid (BCA 3rd semester), were also recognized, securing the 4th Rank and an internship in the festival.

Prof. Qurat Ul Ain, HOD of the Computer Applications Department, expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the College Principal and faculty members for their trust and encouragement throughout this journey, stating that their mentorship played a pivotal role in this success.
