Gauri Kaul Foundation commemorates completion of 3 years
Srinagar, Apr 6: The Gauri Kaul Foundation (GKF) convened its annual meeting on Saturday at the India International Centre (IIC) in New Delhi and commemorated the completion of three years since the establishment of GKF.
Founded by Prof Upendra Kaul in loving memory of his late mother, Gauri Kaul, GKF operates as a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing healthcare services to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
The meeting brought together trustees, the board of directors, and other staff members of GKF.
Discussions revolved around reviewing the achievements and activities undertaken during the 2023-2024.
Additionally, plans for 2024-2027 were deliberated upon, with a focus on expanding initiatives to further benefit the community.
One significant project discussed during the meeting was the ‘Project Heart Clinic on Wheels for South Kashmir’ initiative, at Prasad Joo Khan Heart Centre in Hawl Pulwama.
This project, supported by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), seeks to extend cardiac healthcare services to remote areas.
Furthermore, a partnership agreement with Ujala Cygnus Hospital was highlighted, intending to facilitate medical research activities at the Gauri Heart Centre in Srinagar.
This collaboration underscores GKF’s commitment to advancing healthcare and research efforts in the region.
Besides, the annual report of GKF for the year 2023-2024 was also released at the event.
