Ganderbal police urge people to cooperate during pilgrimage
Kangan, Jun 15: In view of the upcoming Shri Amaranth Ji Yatra, Ganderbal police have urged the people for their cooperation so that the yatra goes smoothly besides the people visiting here, including Amaranth yatris or tourists go back with a good experience.
Addressing a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) at police station Kangan, Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal, Khalil Poswal said that peace and harmony is possible with the co-operation of the people, urging the locals and the stakeholders to keep an eye on those elements who want to disturb peace. SSP emphasised the importance of public cooperation in maintaining law and order, urging all stakeholders to actively assist police in eliminating criminal activities, especially drug trafficking and other unlawful practices. He appealed to the gathering to promptly report any suspicious activities to help foster a peaceful and crime-free environment in the district.
Earlier, continuing its commitment to strengthening Police-Public Relations and addressing public grievances, District Police Ganderbal Sunday convened a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at the Conference Hall BDO Office in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kangan. The meeting was chaired by SSP Poswal. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various sections of society, including representatives of Market Associations, Auqaf Committees, Chowkidars, Lumberdars, local youth, and other prominent community members.
