Kangan, Dec 4: In a tribute to Martyr Rameez Ahmad Baba, Ganderbal Police inaugurated a T20 cricket tournament in Kangan, bringing together 16 teams from across the sub-division to promote sportsmanship and community bonding.

The tournament was formally inaugurated by SDPO Kangan Rajeev Raina alongside the family members of Martyr Rameez Ahmad Baba at Sheikh-ul-Aalam Stadium, Kangan. The opening match of the tournament was contested between Preng and Margund, marking an enthusiastic start to the competition.

SHO Kangan, Lateef Ali, sports lovers, and respected citizens of the area were also present on the occasion. Ganderbal Police has reiterated its commitment to fostering youth talent, promoting positive recreational activities, and honouring the supreme sacrifices of martyrs who laid down their lives for the nation.
