Ganderbal, Oct 24: In a major anti-narcotics operation, Ganderbal Police today launched a massive crackdown on drug peddlers across the district. Acting on credible intelligence inputs and after obtaining proper court orders, simultaneous house searches are underway at 12 different locations, officials said on Friday.

In a statement, a police spokesperson said that the operation is being personally supervised by SSP Ganderbal, Shri Khaleel Poswal (IPS), who has directed all police units to adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards drug trafficking. Under his leadership, multiple teams have fanned out across various areas to identify and nab those involved in the illegal trade.
