Business community demand installation of CRM at J&K Bank Gund

People, especially the business community have urged the Jammu and Kashmir Bank authorities to install a Cash Recycling Machine (CRM) at tehsil headquarter Gund in Ganderbal district. There is only one Jammu Kashmir Bank branch at the Tehsil headquarter while hundreds of people who visit that branch on daily basis can be seen waiting in queues.

“There is always a huge rush which at times consumes more time whenever I visit this branch for depositing or withdrawal of cash,” said a shopkeeper, Imtiyaz Ahmad.

" JK Bank must install a Cash Recycling Machine (CRM) at the Tehsil headquarter for the ease of customers .We are businessmen and have to visit the bank frequently”. They said that it is the need of the hour to have a CRM at the Tehsil headquarter. Keeping the huge rush of customers into account, the installation of CRM has become necessary. “We appeal to Chairman JK Bank to give heed to our demand,” they said.

A senior J&K bank official said that a CRM has already been sanctioned for the area, adding that within a couple of months it will be installed for the convenience of the customers.

 

People demand upgradation of receiving station Surfraw

The people of tehsil Gund in Ganderbal district have shown strong resentment against authorities for not augmenting the capacity of Surfraw power station resulting in usual power cuts and irregular power supply to the consumers. The residents said that since a long time the people were continuously suffering as the power station has not been upgraded yet. At present, receiving station Surfraw does not fulfill the needs of people and during the time of overloading and people are forced to resort to power cuts. They said that it needs to be upgraded so that people can have regular power supply. The consumers have urged the authorities to upgrade the receiving station Surfraw.
