Five dead after vehicle plunges into nallah in Sonamarg, one missing
Ganderbal, Apr 28: At least five people died after a vehicle with nine persons onboard fell into Nallah Sindh near Hung area of Sonamarg in Ganderbal district on Sunday afternoon.
Following the incident a rescue operation was launched in which four dead bodies were recovered while the fifth one was washed away by the water, said Senior Superintendent of police (SSP Ganderbal), Sandeep Gupta.

Gupta said that two people have been rescued and shifted to a hospital while two only one remains missing. The operation has been called off amid heavy rains, he told Greater Kashmir.
The operation would be resumed Monday morning to trace the one believed to be missing, said the SSP.
He said that the identification of all the persons that were in the vehicle is being ascertained.
