G M Shaheen meets Minister
Srinagar, Nov 19: JD(U) J&K President G M Shaheen today met the Union Minister of Agriculture, Ramnath Thakur, to address key issues in the agriculture and horticulture sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, a press release said.
The primary topics of discussion included overcoming challenges related to the export of apples from Srinagar to international markets, expanding the mini fruit mandi (market) at Watergam in the Kreeri-Wagoora constituency, as well as in Palhalan and Pattan.
The Minister assured Shaheen that these concerns would receive priority attention and prompt resolution. He reiterated the Government of India’s dedication to fostering growth in the horticulture and agriculture sectors of Jammu and Kashmir, emphasising their critical role in driving the region’s economic development.
