G A Mir expresses anguish, pain over loss of lives in Assar- Doda

Anantnag, Nov 15: Congress Working Committee (CWC) Member and Former JKPCC President Ghulam Ahmad Mir today expressed anguish and pain over the loss of precious lives in Assar- Doda accident.

In a statement, Mir termed the incident most unfortunate, shocking and heart breaking and expressed anguish and pain over the tragic incident, which has devastated dozens of families.

“I have no words to express my grief, the loss of precious lives in this unfortunate incident has made me speechless. My heart goes out to those who have lost their dear ones,” Mir said and expressed heartfelt condolences to bereaved families while praying for speedy recovery of the injured.

CWC Member slammed the government for failing to contain such incidents and said despite the public outcry and loss of precious lives in frequent road accidents. He said government has failed to do anything with regard to safety of public and laid emphasis over fixing responsibility for this unfortunate incident and those that happened in past.

Mir told the government to come out of a deep slumber and see how precious lives are lost in frequent road accidents and take effective measures to ensure public safety rather than making tall claims on so-called development in J&K.
