Functioning of animal husbandry sector reviewed in Anantnag
Srinagar, Dec 7: Director of Animal Husbandry Kashmir, Dr Parvinder Singh, Saturday conducted a comprehensive review of the animal husbandry sector in Anantnag district, focusing on the progress under the CAPEX and HADP schemes.
During the meeting, the Director appreciated the efforts of the concerned for achieving key targets set for the district so far. He emphasised the need to further expand the reach of animal husbandry services to every corner of Anantnag to boost livestock development and improve farmers' livelihoods.
The Chief Husbandry Officer (CHO) briefed the Director on the district's achievements and future targets, expressing confidence that Anantnag would soon become a leading district in various aspects of the animal husbandry sector.
The Director also congratulated the district for securing the top rank in milk production within the region, highlighting the sector's growing potential.
He urged all stakeholders to maintain the momentum and work collectively toward achieving excellence in the sector.
The meeting was attended by Livestock Development Officers (LDOs), Block Cattle Officers (BCOs), and veterinary surgeons from across the district, who shared updates on ongoing projects and future plans.
