Fulfil promise of ‘unbiased governance’ across all parts of J&K: Apni Party to govt
Srinagar, Dec 17: Apni Party today urged the government to fulfil its promise of “unbiased governance” across all parts of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a press release, the plea was made during a meeting of the General Councdil meeting of the party. The meeting was convened to meeting to discuss important organizational matters, public issues and current political scenario.
“Apni Party expressed hope that the ruling party’s recent commitment to delivering ‘unbiased governance’ would be upheld for all people across Jammu and Kashmir, regardless of their political ideologies or affiliations, and that no one, including the ruling party's political opponents, would be subjected to political victimization,” the press release said.
Pertinently, the Chief Minister, in a recent review meeting in Samba, pledged that his government’s decisions would not be influenced by political affiliations or party lines. “Apni Party leaders have expressed hope that the Chief Minister’s pledge would not be limited to certain areas but would be implemented across the entire Union Territory. The party leaders made this remark today during an extraordinary meeting,” the press release added.
The meeting was presided over by the party’s Parliamentary Affairs Committee (PAC) Chairman Mohammad Dilawar Mir.
“During the hours-long meeting, the participants engaged in a comprehensive discussion on a range of issues, including the prevailing political scenario in Jammu and Kashmir. They deliberated on various party-related matters. They also outlined a future strategy to rejuvenate the party cadre and further strengthen the party across all regions of J&K,” the press release said.
On this occasion, the district-level leaders provided firsthand feedback from the grassroots level in their respective areas and shared their views and opinions to further strengthen the party.
Speaking on the occasion, Mohammad Dilawar Mir and party General Secretary Rafi Ahmad Mir urged party leaders and senior workers to intensify their political and public outreach activities to strengthen their bond with the people in their respective areas.
“They emphasised that staying closely connected with the masses at the grassroots level would help them identify and highlight pressing public issues. They added that the Apni Party has an important role in ensuring that public issues and grievances are brought to the notice of the concerned authorities for prompt redressal,” the statement said.
Besides Mohammad Dilawar Mir and Rafi Ahmad Mir, the prominent party leaders who were present on the occasion included Chief Coordinator Abdul Majeed Padder, Provincial President Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Chief Spokesperson and District President Budgam Muntazir Mohiuddin, and Media Advisor Farooq Andrabi.
