Fruit vendor dies in scuffle in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 14: A man was stabbed to death on Tuesday evening after a scuffle broke out between two fruit vendors in Srinagar's Dalgate, said police, even as they said they have arrested the accused and seized the weapon of offence..

The slain has been identified as Bilal Guroo, a resident of Bemina, while the accused is identified as Hilal Ahmad Shera, son of Riyaz Shera, a resident of Tengpora.

Scuffle between two fruit vendors broke out in Dalgate area in which Hilal Ahmad Shera S/o Riyaz Shera R/o Tengpora stabbed Bilal Guroo R/o Bemina to death.
FIR No. 70/2024 u/s 302 IPC regd in PS RM Bagh & investigation taken up.
Accused arrested & weapon of offence recovered.

Police said an FIR under No. 70/2024 u/s 302 IPC has been registered in Police Station Ram Munshi Bagh and that the investigation has been taken up. Accused arrested & weapon of offence recovered.
