Fruit-decorated installation of ‘Eiffel Tower’ among main attractions
Srinagar, Feb 15: The GON’GUL Festival this year witnessed a distinctive blend of creativity, agriculture, and entrepreneurship as Real Tech, a local industrial unit, unveiled a striking Eiffel Tower installation decorated with various varieties of fruits.
The installation quickly became a major attraction, drawing visitors, entrepreneurs, and agriculture enthusiasts.
The initiative, led by innovator Shahid Shafiee, aimed to promote Kashmir’s horticulture sector while demonstrating how creative presentation and innovation can enhance the value of traditional agricultural produce. The structure symbolized pride in the Valley’s apple heritage and highlighted opportunities for entrepreneurship linked to agriculture.
Alongside the installation, Real Tech showcased orchard accessories, farming tools, and related innovations intended to support growers, improve efficiency, and encourage modern orchard management. The display reflected growing efforts to integrate technology with agriculture to strengthen local industry.
The GON’GUL Festival also provided a platform for young entrepreneurs, agri-startups, and local producers to exhibit natural products, organic goods, and agricultural innovations.
Participants said such platforms help create visibility, networking opportunities, and encouragement for youth exploring entrepreneurship in agriculture and allied sectors.
Observers note that initiatives like this indicate a broader shift in Kashmir toward combining tradition with innovation. By promoting local produce creatively and encouraging agricultural enterprise, events like the GON’GUL Festival continue to support regional economic growth while celebrating Kashmir’s natural strengths.
