Fresh snowfall shuts Gurez-Bandipora road

Bandipora, Nov 23: The 85-km long Bandipora -Gurez road has been closed after fresh snowfall at Razdan Top, officials said on Saturday.

SDM Gurez, Mukhtar Ahamd confirmed to Greater Kashmir that the road has been closed due to snowfall and adverse weather conditions.

Officials said drivers and passengers have been advised to avoid traveling on the road.

Locals said the snowfall began to fall on Razdan Top today after noon and for safety of travellers the road has been closed.

Meanwhile drivers and passengers are requested to stay updated by contacting the district control room or PCR Bandipora at 9596767430 or 7006526985, as per the advisory.

Meanwhile higher reaches of Bandipora including Gurez, Tulail, Dawar, Tragbal were also witnessing light to moderate snowfall.
