Fresh gunfire in J&K's Kathua, area cordoned off

Kathua, Apr 04: A fresh exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists in Duggan area of Bilawar in Kathua district on Friday evening.

Quoting top police official, the news agency JKNS reported that security forces launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the area following input about the presence of terrorists.

During the operation, terrorists opened fire, triggering a fresh exchange of fire. The area has been cordoned off and additional reinforcements have been rushed, the officer said.
