Fresh encounter starts in Doda

Srinagar, July 9: A fresh encounter erupted between terrorists and security forces in the Sezan forest area of Doda district on Tuesday.

According to a senior Police officer, the Sezan forest area, which borders Kishtwar district on one side and Anantnag on the other, is believed to have two to three terrorists trapped.

A top Police officer said that the operation in Doda forests would resume on Wednesday morning, as it had been temporarily suspended for the night.

He said that there was an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces for around two hours before the search operations began.

"As of now, there is no confirmation regarding the killing of any terrorists," the officer said.
