Srinagar, Sep 14: Well Care Medical Institute, Ahmad Nagar, on Sunday organised a Free Mega Health Camp that drew an overwhelming response from people across Srinagar and adjoining districts.

A statement said that the camp brought together some of the Valley’s leading specialists, offering patients free consultations and subsidised diagnostic services.

Among the participating doctors were Dr. Mohammad Idrees Bashir (General & Paediatric Surgery), Dr. Shabnam Ara (Obstetrics & Gynaecology), Dr. Waseem Akram Khan (Gastroenterology, SKIMS), Dr. Khalid Yousf Lala (General Medicine), Dr. Subiya Kaneez (Radiation Oncology, SMHS), Dr. Malik Insha Qayoom (Psychiatry, GMC Srinagar), Dr. Asif (ENT, SKIMS Medical College, Bemina), and Dr. Mir Aabid (Paediatrics).

Hundreds of patients from peripheral areas availed the opportunity to consult senior specialists free of charge. In addition, Well Care offered a 50 percent discount on diagnostic tests, including blood investigations, endoscopy, colonoscopy, X-ray, ECG, and ultrasound, easing the burden of healthcare costs for many.

Dr. Masood ul Hassan, Medical Director of Well Care Medical Institute, said the initiative was part of the institute’s social responsibility. “Although we have organised health camps in the past, bringing together such a wide range of specialists and super-specialists was unique. As part of society, it becomes imperative upon us to hold such camps for our people,” he said.

Tajamul Islam Wani, Administrator and Spokesperson of the institute, said the camp was meticulously planned and well received by the public. “The doctors have also pledged to continue their OPDs at Well Care Medical Institute in the future,” he noted.
