Four students injured in Bandipora school bus incident
Srinagar, June 07: Four students were injured when a school bus turned turtle in north Kashmir's Bandipora on Friday morning.
Witnesses said the bus from International Delhi Public School (IDPS) in Kaloosa in district headquarters, met with the accident near Shokbaba village of Sumlar.
"Four students were brought to the hospital for treatment," Dr. Mushtaq, Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Bandipora told Greater Kashmir.
The official, however, said the injuries were minor and the children were in stable condition.
"They are still in the hospital and are under observation," Dr Mushtaq said.
SHO Bandipora told Greater Kashmir an FIR no 125 of 2024 under relevant laws for rash driving has been filed, while the investigation has been taken up.
He said further investigation whether the vehicle was permitted to operate in Bandipora and running with all the protocols and papers will also be looked into, apart from whether the vehicle was overloaded.
