Four persons arrested over firing incident in Poonch: Police
Srinagar, Mar 24: Police on Sunday said it has arrested four persons in connection with a firing incident that took place two days ago in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The incident had occurred after a dispute between two families turned into an altercation.
Station House Officer (SHO) Surankote Mukhtar Ali said that on Friday a scuffle between two families occurred after which one of the family members who possesses an arms license fired some aerial shots from his revolver.
He said the police have taken cognizance of the matter and arrested four persons along with the revolver.
An FIR No. 41/2024 have been registered and further investigations initiated.
He identified the arrested persons as Azmat Hussain S/o Anjum Mughal, Asif Mughal, Faizan Ahmad sons of Riyaz Hussain, Zamrood Hussain son of Talib Hussain, all residents of Mada Surankote.
