Four injured as SUV crashes into parapet on Jammu-Srinagar Highway in J&K’s Udhampur
Udhampur, April 5: Four passengers sustained injuries after a vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a parapet in the Samroli area of Udhampur district along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway on Friday morning.
Police officials said the vehicle, bearing registration number UK 04 AK 1111, lost control and crashed into the roadside crash barrier, leaving all occupants injured.
The injured were immediately shifted to the Associated Hospital of Government Medical College (GMC) Udhampur for treatment. Their condition is stated to be stable.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Preliminary reports suggest overspeeding or driver negligence may have been a factor.
Traffic movement along the highway was briefly affected but later restored.
