Founder Chairman of Masterpro Engg Institute Er Farooq. A. Rather passes away
Srinagar, Dec 25: Er. Farooq A Rather, founder chairman of Masterpro Engineering Institute Nowgam, passed away on Tuesday. His funeral prayers were held at Gulberg colony, Hyderpora, and were attended by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and other dignitaries.
Er. Farooq passed away at a hospital in Chennai where he was admitted after his health deteriorated.
Hundreds of people, including Chief Minster Omar Abdulah, MLA Chanpora Mushtaq Ahmad Guroo, Ex Minister Naeem Akhter, and MLA Qaisar Jamsheed Lone who is also son in law of the deceased, participated in the funeral prayers.
The deceased was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard at Ajas in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district where his chahrum shall be observed on Friday, 27th December.
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also offered condolences to the bereaved family.
The deceased is survived by his daughter Shazia, who is the wife of MLA Qaisar Jamsheed Lone, and two sons, Jameel and Omar.
Distinguished personalities from the field of Education, art, literature and media who attended the Janazah also expressed their condolences with the family and hailed the deceased over his contribution in the field of Technical Education and his sociocultural activities.
In his condolence message, Javaid Ahmed Dar, Minister of Agriculture while appreciating his contribution in the field of Technical Education, said Er Farooq was a noble soul. Dar also expressed his sympathies with the family.
Member of Parliament, Mian Altaf Ahmed Larwi, in his condolence message, said that it is an unparalleled loss and prayed for peace to the soul of the deceased.
Farooq Abdullah, President of National Conference, expressed his grief over the demise of Qaisar Jamsheed’s father-in-law. He expressed sympathy and solidarity with the family, and prayed for the peace of the departed soul.
