Forming government not my priority: Er Rashid
Kupwara, Oct 2: Awami Ittehad Party (AIP) Chief and Member Parliament (MP) Er Rashid, Wednesday said that forming a government is not his priority but his top priority has been to fight for the rights of people especially against the August 5, 2019 decision.
"My top priority will be to address the sentiments and aspirations alongside ensuring development,” he said.
Er Rashid was talking to the media after taking stock of Kulangam bridge which developed minor cracks on Tuesday.
To a question about his bail, Rashid said that he has full faith in the judiciary and was expecting his permanent bail orders. “A plea for permanent bail is lined up on October 5, and I have full faith in the judiciary that justice will be delivered," he added.
To a question, Er Rashid said that BJP’s ‘Naya Kashmir’ slogan stands exposed as people were suffering for even basic amenities.
Rashid said that his party was anticipating win on maximum number of seats because people across the region have voted for their candidates.
