Former MP, veteran journalist H. K. Dua passes away

Srinagar, Mar 04: Veteran journalist, former Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and Padma Bhushan awardee Hari Krishan Dua passed away this afternoon.

Dua also served as India’s Ambassador to Denmark and India’s High Commissioner to Kenya, reflecting his significant role in public diplomacy.

He was the Editor of Hindustan Times from 1987 to 1994, Editor-in-Chief of The Indian Express from 1994 to 1996, and Editor of The Tribune from 2003 to 2009.

The cremation will take place at 12:00 noon at Lodhi Road Crematorium on March 5, 2026.
