Former Ministers, Ali Sagar, Altaf Bukhari among several politicians condole demise of Mirwaiz Umar’s father-in-law

Srinagar, Feb 27: Former Ministers, Ali Mohammad Sagar and Altaf Bukhari were among several politicians who condoled the demise of Mirwaiz Umar’s father-in-law.

NC leader, Ali Sagar, said in a post on X, “ Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un. I extend my heartfelt condolences and express my deepest sympathies to @MirwaizKashmir Moulvi Muhammad Farooq sahab over the tragic passing of his father-in-law and brother of my valued colleague in JKNC Justice @masoodi_hasnain. Prayers for magfirah of late Sibtain Masoodi Sahib and thoughts with both the bereaved families. Allah grant Jannat Ul Firdous to the departed. Ameen.”

Expressing his condolences to Mirwaiz Umar, President of Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party, Altaf Bukhari said in a post on X, “My heartfelt condolences to Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Sahib on the passing of his father-in-law, Dr. Ghulam Sibtain Masoodi, who departed for his heavenly abode late last night. Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon. May the Almighty Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give patience to the bereaved family to bear the pain of this profound loss.”

Youth PDP also condoled the demise and said in a social media post, “ We extend our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Dr. Ghulam Sibtain Masoodi sb, father-in-law of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq sb & brother of Justice (R) Hasnain Masoodi sb. May Allah grant him Jannat-ul-Firdous & give strength to the bereaved family in this difficult time.”

Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Society Forum and President of the Pensioners United Front, Qayoom Wani, expressed grief and sorrow over the passing of Dr Ghulam Sibtain Masoodi, father-in-law of Mirwaiz Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Molvi Umer Farooq, and brother of National Conference leader and MLA Pampore, Hasnain Masoodi.

Wani stated that the deceased was a pious human being who contributed significantly to society, and his contributions will always be remembered. He prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous for the departed soul and strength for the bereaved family members, especially Mirwaiz Jammu and Kashmir, Dr Molvi Umer Farooq, and MLA Pampore, Hasnain Masoodi Sahib, during this difficult time.

All the leaders of JKCSF and JKLPUF expressed their sympathy and solidarity with both the Mirwaiz and Masoodi families in this time of grief and prayed for eternal peace for the departed soul.
