Former legislator Ishfaq Jabbar announces support to Apni Party’s candidate in Srinagar LS seat

Srinagar, Apr 29: Former legislator from central Kashmir’s Ganderbal Sheikh Ishfaq Jabbar Monday announced support to Apni Party’s Srinagar Lok Sabha candidate Mohammad Ashraf Mir.

Talking to media persons here, he said that his party Jammu Kashmir United Movement (JKUM) will fight Lok Sabha polls in Srinagar together.

“Fighting polls separately will obviously benefit those who have pushed people of Jammu and Kashmir into immense trouble. We have decided to fight polls jointly and pitch for restoration of statehood, end to power woes and others issues,” he said.

He added that Apni Party president Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari had requested us to join hands for the greater cause of Jammu and Kashmir, and we obeyed the call.
