Former J&K CM Gh Nabi Azad, others condole passing of BJP leader Devender Rana
Srinagar, Nov 01: Former chief minister J&K and DPAP chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad, and other National Conference (NC) leaders today expressed sadness over passing of BJP leader and MLA Nagrota Devender Singh Rana, who breathed his last in a hospital in New Delhi on Thursday evening.
Former chief minister of erstwhile state of J&K Ghulam Nabi Azad said the contributions of the deceased towards Jammu & Kashmir’s development and unwavering dedication to his constituency will be cherished forever.
He said we have lost not only a devoted leader but also a compassionate soul who always prioritized the well-being of his people.
Taking to micro-blogging site X, Azad said: “I am profoundly saddened by the untimely demise of Devender Singh Rana Ji, whose contributions to Jammu and Kashmir’s development and unwavering dedication to his constituency will be cherished forever”.
He said: “His leadership and vision brought hope and progress to countless people and his presence was a source of strength and guidance for many. In his passing, we have lost not only a devoted leader but also a compassionate soul who always prioritized the well-being of his people”.
“My heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this moment of immense grief. I pray they find comfort in the countless lives he touched and in the legacy of service and commitment he leaves behind. May his soul find eternal peace,” he said on X.
National Conference (NC) General Secretary Ali Mohammad Sagar extended his condolences to the bereaved family of his long time colleague, Devender Singh Rana.
“I’m struggling to find the right words in extending my condolences to the bereaved family of long time colleague Devender Singh Rana. His passing has left all of us mourning and reiterated the stark reality of this ephemeral world. Prayers and thoughts with his loved ones,” the NC General Secretary said on X.
NC youth leader and MLA Hazratbal Salam Ali Sagar expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, admirers and innumerable supporters of the deceased.
He said Rana’s tragic and untimely departure has left huge void in political landscape of Jammu region, and prayed for his eternal peace.

I have countless good memories of him, being senior colleague,at times friend & more. May his soul rest in eternal peace & his loved ones get strength to bear this pain and irreparable loss,” NC youth leader and MLA Hazratbal said on X.
