Srinagar, Sep 13: Prof. Syed Ashaq Hussain Naqshbandi, former Principal and Dean of Government Medical College Srinagar and Ex-Head of the Department of Surgery at SMHS Hospital, passed away after a prolonged illness.

Family sources said his Namaz-e-Janaza will be offered at the graveyard of Naqashbandh Sahib shrine at 11 am today.

Prof. Naqshbandi was widely respected in the medical fraternity for his distinguished service and contributions to medical education and surgery in Jammu and Kashmir. (KNC)
