Former Dy CM leads ‘Tiranga Yatra’ in Kathua

Jammu, May 19: Former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh Monday led a ëTiranga Yatraí in honour of Indian armed forces for their valour and determination demonstrated during ëOperation Sindoorí.

A large number of civilians, ex-servicemen, and youth participated in the rally with enthusiasm holding tricolours amid patriotic slogans to express their solidarity with the armed forces.

BJP MLAs Rajiv Jasrotia, Vijay Kumar Sharma, and Bharat Bhushan besides other senior leaders too were part of the yatra.

Talking to media persons, former Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh said, ìThe yatra was an affirmation of solidarity of all sections of society with valourous Indian armed forces, which displayed unmatched bravery and determination during ëOperation Sindoorí launched in response to the cowardly terrorist attack in Pahalgam.î

He said 26 civilians were killed in Pahalgam by the terrorists at the behest of their mentors across the border in Pakistan.

ìIn retaliation, Indian armed forces destroyed 11 terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and PoK. Indian forces within over 60 hours brought Pakistan's armed forces and their government to their knees. We are celebrating this victory which marks the strong willpower of the Modi government and unmatched valour of the Indian armed forces,î Singh said.
