Former Chief Engineer Muhammad Aslam Khan passes away

Srinagar,  Apr 5: National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah and Vice President and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Saturday expressed profound grief over the demise of former Chief Engineer (CE) PDD Khawaja Muhammad Aslam Khan of Shalimar, Srinagar, a press release said.

The duo prayed for peace to the departed soul and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the inconsolable loss. Dr Farooq Abdullah visited Shalimar to offer his condolences to the family of the late Former Chief Engineer PDD Khawaja Muhammad Aslam Khan, who was also the father of his son-in-law, Muhammad Asim Khan.

Accompanied by Additional General Secretary Dr. Sheikh Mustafa Kamal and Chief Spokesperson Tanvir Sadiq, Dr Abdullah expressed sympathies and condolences to the bereaved Khan family. Together, they offered prayers for the deceased and shared their grief during this difficult time.

Earlier in the day, Vice President of the Party and Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, along with his Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani Sogami, attended the funeral prayers of the deceased. Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar and MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar also visited the family in Shalimar to offer their condolences.

Later in the day, Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar led a gathering of Fatiha Khawani at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha for the deceased. He, along with other party members, expressed their heartfelt condolences to both the Abdullah and Khan families during this challenging time.

Meanwhile, President of J&K Jamait Hamdani Moulana Riyaz Hamdani and Chief Spokesperson GM Saqi have condoled the demise of  Khawaja Muhammad Aslam Khan and expressed sympathies with Muhammad Asim Khan.and Nazim Khan and prayed for courage to them to bear the irreparable loss.
