Formed committee for Er Rashid’s release: AIP

Srinagar, Jul 23: Awami Itihaad Party (AIP) today said that it has formed a committee to intensify legal and political efforts for  the release of its President and Baramulla MP Er Rashid from jail.

According to a press release, a decision  to this effect was taken  at a party meeting here.

The meeting was chaired by AIP Vice President Ghulam Nabi Shaheen and attended by General Secretary Abdul Nazir Ahmad Khan, Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi, State Secretary Sheikh Ashiq Hussain, Finance Secretary Parvaiz Ahmad Bhat, Ghazanfar Ali and Secretary Legal Affairs Advocate Javid Hubi.

The meeting was convened in the aftermath of the recent order passed by a court regarding the conditional custody-based participation of Er Rashid in the ongoing session of Parliament.
