Forest officials visit hydropower project sites
Srinagar, Feb 10: Forest officials conducted a critical site inspection on February 7, for a comprehensive transmission system spanning 69.355 hectares. The inspection, led by Sandeep Kumar, Conservator of Forests, Chenab Circle, precedes Forest Clearance for a significant power evacuation initiative involving three major hydroelectric projects.
The transmission system will facilitate power generation from Pakal Dul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW), and Kwar (540 MW) hydro projects. Involving the construction of 400 kV, Double Circuit, Triple HTLS Transmission Lines extending approximately 37 kilometers, the project is strategically designed to align with the commissioning schedules of these hydro electric ventures.
Officers from CVPPL and PGCIL accompanied the site inspection, underlining the collaborative approach to this critical infrastructure development. The transmission system represents a significant step in enhancing regional power generation and distribution capabilities.
