Forest guard dies in Banihal mishap

Ramban, Dec 4: A forest department guard died after he slipped from a hillock in the Nachlana forests in Sherbibi area of Banihal last night.

Official sourcesidentified the deceased as Abdul Gaffar Sohil son of Mohammad Yousaf Sohil resident of Wagan, Sherbibi, Banihal .

They said after receiving information Police and local volunteers reached the spot and shifted the body of the deceased forest guard to Sub District Hospital Banihal.

They said after conducting postmortem and other legal formalities the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites on Wednesday.

Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Banihal.
