Forces continue searches in various villages of Rajouri
Rajouri, July 17: The security forces on Wednesday continued search operation in different villages of border district Rajouri as a measure under security high alert.
These operations have been conducted jointly by J&K police, Special Operation Group (SoG) of Police, CRPF and Indian Army.
The security in border district Rajouri is already on high alert mode keeping in view recent terror incidents across Jammu region. The border district Rajouri has already witnessed several terror related incidents during last couple of years which has been considered as a serious security situation as a sharp spike in terror related activities has taken place.
Officials said that both information based as well as speculative CASOs are being conducted in large numbers across Rajouri district. The information based operations are launched whenever any information of suspicious movement or spotting of suspected terrorists is received.
These operations are mostly area specific and also include cordon besides searches. However, the speculative CASOs are also called as preventive operations which are primary aimed towards area domination.
These operations are mostly conducted in sensitive areas having minority population as well as the areas having history of terror incidents in recent years beside those areas which are categorised as notorious infiltration routes.
On Wednesday also, please search operations were conducted by security forces in different areas of the district.
On Tuesday also, the security forces in this border district conducted a massive Anti terror operation in villages including Ganya, Langar, Dhanaka in Nowshera.
These villages are located close to the Line of Control (LoC) and operation was conducted in these villages after locals spotted two suspects moving in the area. In Poonch district also, a massive search operation was conducted in area near Poonch town which was a part of area domination exercise.
