Football Championship concludes in Budgam

Budgam, July 29: The Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K’s Inter-district Football Tournament for boys under 14 reached its exciting finale at the Sports Stadium Chrar-i-Shareef. The event showcased remarkable talent and sportsmanship from young football enthusiasts across the Kashmir division.

In the semi-finals, Baramulla dominated Kulgam with a 4-0 victory, while Bandipora edged out Kupwara in a thrilling 5-4 match. The highly anticipated final between Baramulla and Bandipora was cut short due to adverse weather conditions and heavy rainfall. As a result, both teams were declared joint winners of the championship.

The closing ceremony featured a presentation of mementoes to both the winning teams, recognizing their outstanding performances throughout the tournament. The Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K praised all participants for their dedication and passion, highlighting the significance of such events in fostering young talent and promoting sportsmanship within the UT.
