Flag hoisting beginning of a new era: CM Yogi

Ayodhya, Nov 25: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the historic flag hoisting ceremony at the Ram Temple as the host, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the ritual atop the newly constructed shrine.

The Chief Minister said the occasion marked the start of a new era and reflected the collective faith of 1.4 billion Indians.

The saffron flag raised above the temple was described as a symbol of dharma, dignity, justice and national identity.

The CM dedicated the moment to saints, devotees and generations who contributed to the Ram temple movement.

The ceremony coincided with Vivah Panchami, adding spiritual significance to the milestone. Ayodhya is witnessing rapid transformation, with major infrastructure upgrades and recognition as India’s first solar-powered sustainable smart city.

The CM said the city is now emerging as a global centre of culture, faith and development. Prime Minister Modi and RSS Sarsanghchalak Mohan Bhagwat were presented with mementoes following the ceremony.

Several dignitaries, including Mahant Nritya Gopal Das Ji Maharaj and Governor Anandiben Patel, were also present.
