Five injured in road accident near Railway Chowk Banihal
Banihal, Feb 21: Five passengers were injured after a Creta cab met with an accident on Jammu Srinagar National Highway 44 near Railway Chowk in Banihal on Saturday morning.
According to reports, the vehicle was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu when it reportedly lost control and crashed into a road divider, resulting in injuries to all five occupants of the car. Soon after the incident, locals and police officials rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Sub District Hospital Banihal for treatment.
All injured belongs to utter Pradesh state.
After receiving first aid, all the injured were referred to Government Medical College Anantnag for specialized treatment.
Injured have been identified by police as Resha Begum (45), wife of Layeeq Ahmed, Shahnawaz Ahmed (28), son of Layeeq Ahmed, Saima (20), daughter of Mohdmammd Hassan, Mohammad Saleem (17), son of Zahid Ahmed and Mohammad Nouman (18), son of Mukhtiyar Ahmed all resident of Uttar Pradesh state. Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated its investigations.
