Five houses damaged in late-night fire in Maloora, Shalteng

Srinagar, February 14: A late-night fire damaged five single-story residential structures in the Maloora, Shalteng area of central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Thursday.

Officials told that the fire broke out around 10:01 PM, engulfing five residential sheds in flames.

Upon receiving the information, fire and emergency service teams rushed to the spot and worked to control the fire.

According to officials, the blaze caused severe to partial damage to roofs, furniture, bedding, and household goods. Some belongings were completely destroyed.

Firefighters managed to bring the flames under control, preventing further damage. However, the cause of the fire remains unknown. (JKNS)
