First-of-its-kind Musculoskeletal radiology workshop held

Srinagar, Apr 13: A first-of-its-kind musculoskeletal radiology workshop was held from April 11 to 13 at Taj Hotel.

The organisers in a statement said the event involved MRI and Ultrasound workshops. Hands-on training and one to one interactions was emphasised and all the participating doctors benefited from this three day extravaganza learning updated techniques in imaging of sports problems and musculoskeletal problems.

This was organised by the renowned Max Healthcare group in collaboration with Expert healthcare as local partner.

The faculties were Dr Girish Gandikota (Professor Radiology in North Carolina university, USA), Dr Shaafiya Ashraf (Associate Professor Radiology, GMC, Srinagar) and DrAmit Sahu (Senior Consultant and Head, Radiology, Max Smart Hospital, New Delhi) who educated, interacted and shared practical knowledge of musculoskeletal problems and imaging. The organisers said they were encouraged by local support and appetite to learn, and another follow-up MSK workshop will be organised in due course.
