Fire damages ICDS Rajwar office, shopping complex partially in Handwara

Kupwara, July 27: In a devastating blaze, the rooftop of a shopping complex and office of Integrated Child Development Service (ICDS) Handwara was damaged on Saturday morning in a fire incident.

Located near Bus Stand Handwara, the shopping complex caught fire early morning at about 6 am following which Fire Service Department officials were intimated who responded to the urgency and launched the rescue operation immediately.

According to an official, office records of ICDS and other belongings got damaged in the incident. However the residential houses located nearby were saved timely. No loss of life or injury to anyone was reported in the incident.

The building belonged to Abdul Ahad Ganie resident of Umer Abad Khunbal 'A' area of main town Handwara.
