Fire breaks out in residential house in Tailbal Srinagar 

Srinagar, Feb 27: A fire broke out in Tailbal area of Srinagar City in the evening of Thursday.

The officials from Fire and Emergency Services department said that fire broke out in Dangerpora area of the Tailbal engulfing a three storied house.

"We pressed multiple fire tenders to douse off the flames. The fire is under control and the top portion of the house was gutted in the incident. The fire units are still at the site of incident and further details will be know after the completion of operation," an official said.

As per the eye witnesses, the fire started from the top floor and engulfed the entire attic portion.

"Before the fire and emergency units reached the spot, the locals helped to douse off the flames and tried to take the household goods out," said an eye witness.

The officials said that the cause of fire is under investigation.
