Fire breaks out in Rajouri Kadal, 2 firefighters injured

Srinagar, Jan 04: A fire broke out in a residential-cum-commercial building at Rajouri Kadal area of Srinagar on Saturday late evening, officials said.

They said Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) are on the spot, and about two firefighters have sustained injuries during dousing off the flames, KNO reported.

The officials said that during the firefighting operation, two firefighters sustained injuries and were immediately rushed to SMHS hospital for treatment.

The officials from the Fire and Emergency Department are on the spot, and the dousing operation is ongoing.

Earlier in the evening, another fire incident was reported at Nawakadal area, where a room on the first floor of a three-storey residential house was engulfed in flames.

Meanwhile, the causes of these incidents are under investigation.
