Fire breaks out in house at Sonwar

Srinagar, Jan 11: A fire broke out in a house at Palpora area of Sonwar locality on Saturday evening.

An official from Fire and Emergency Services said that they received the information at about 5:34 pm and rushed multiple fire units to the spot, to control the fire.

"Fire tenders from Headquarters and Gawkadal were pressed in to douse off the flames. We have controlled the fire but the operation is still go on," said the official.

The officials said that as per preliminary information, a three-storey house is involved in the incident. They said the cause of the fire is yet to be known. "Complete information about damage will be known after the completion of the operation," the official added.
