Fire breaks out at J&K Bank business unit in Srinagar's Rajbagh

Srinagar, Nov 05: A fire broke out at the business unit of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Wednesday evening, officials said.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that soon after the incident fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

Meanwhile the J&K Bank authorities confirmed that the fire was swiftly brought under control and caused no damage to its offices. “We wish to reassure the public, our customers, and stakeholders that both the Branch and the Cluster Office are completely safe and fully secure. Although today was a holiday, banking operations will resume as normal tomorrow. There is absolutely no cause for concern or panic,” a Bank spokesperson said.
