Finance Department amends existing guidelines on Constituency Development Fund scheme

Jammu, Jul 4: J&K Finance Department Friday amended the existing guidelines on Constituency Development Fund (CDF) scheme to enhance CDF to each MLA, from the existing Rs 3 Cr to Rs 4 Cr per year under the scheme from the Financial Year 2025-26.

Besides, it also omitted the guideline pertaining to the annual ceiling of 90 days for the MLAs to recommend works.

As per an order issued by Principal Secretary Finance Department, Santosh D Vaidya, sanction was accorded to the amendments to the existing guidelines on CDF scheme with immediate effect in continuation to Government Order No 76-FD of 2025 dated March 10, 2025.

“Para 2.12 of the guidelines on Constituency Development Fund (CDF) scheme is omitted which reads – The MLA shall recommend the works up to the annual ceiling within 90 days of commencement of Financial Year,” the order read.
