New Delhi, Nov 10: Israeli military forces have encircled three hospitals in Gaza City, as well as the Indonesian Hospital in the northern region. Utilising tanks and armoured vehicles, the military has established a perimeter spanning approximately 100 meters around these medical facilities.

This move comes after the Israeli military issued evacuation orders for the hospitals and suspects that Hamas is using these hospitals and keeping civilians as human shields. Several video footage showed tanks outside a children's hospital in Gaza City.

Earlier, explosions were reported at or near two of the hospitals in the north of the Gaza Strip. It appears to be a missile or mortar striking the courtyard at Al-Shifa Hospital where one person died. Israel has confirmed its military is operating close to Al-Shifa, the biggest hospital in Gaza City. Hundreds of civilians taking refuge in the hospital compounds have started moving out of the hospital towards a safe area.

In a separate incident, The Indonesian Hospital in Gaza sustained damage because of a nearby rocket strike, confirmed a spokesperson from the Indonesian foreign ministry on Friday. The targeted area, Taliza'tar, was "very close" to the hospital, raising concerns about the safety of citizens and humanitarian facilities in the region.

According to the spokesperson, three Indonesian volunteers were present in the hospital's basement during the attack, fortunately escaping unscathed. Indonesian authorities strongly denounced the assault, reiterating their condemnation of attacks on civilians and humanitarian structures in Gaza.

Sarbini Abdul Murad, representing the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C), which oversees the hospital, clarified that the strike did not directly hit the main building. The Indonesian Hospital was established to cater to the medical needs of Palestinians in the area, as outlined by Indonesia's foreign ministry.

However, controversy surrounds the hospital, with the Israeli military alleging that it serves as a cover for underground operations, a claim vehemently denied by the Indonesian government.

Amidst the escalating conflict, Reuters quoted Palestine officials saying one person had been killed in explosions occurring inside or near Al Shifa hospital in the north of the Gaza Strip. The health ministry in Gaza reported that an Israeli strike hit the hospital's courtyard overnight.

Al-Quds Hospital is also surrounded by the Israeli forces, advancing into Gaza City as part of their operation, and are now positioned on all sides of Al Shifa Hospital, approximately 250 meters away. Al-Quds Hospital, located in Gaza City, is reportedly surrounded by tanks on all sides, with intermittent explosions and firing being heard in the vicinity. The situation intensifies as Israeli forces continue their push into Gaza City in an operation to destroy Hamas targets.

The Gaza health ministry says 11,078 people have been killed in Gaza since the start of the war and more than 27,000 others have been injured.
