Felicitations extended to GK Executive Editor Arif Shafi Wani
Srinagar, Jan 27: Several politicians and representatives of religious and other organisations today extended felicitation to Arif Shafi Wani, the Executive Editor of Greater Kashmir for being awarded the prestigious State Award for Outstanding Environmentalist by the J&K Government on the occasion of Republic Day.
Senior leader of National Conference and MLA Zadibal Tanvir Sadiq extended felicitations to Arif, “Heartiest congratulations to Arif Shafi Wani, Executive Editor of Greater Kashmir, on receiving the prestigious State Award for Outstanding Environmentalist. At a time when environmental awareness is crucial for our future, your efforts to highlight these issues inspire collective action. Wishing you all the best in this vital mission!,” Tanvir posted on X.
Janata Dal-United President for J&K, GM Shaheen, praised Arif’s work for environmental conservation. “Kashmir needs journalists like Arif Shafi who has been consistently writing and highlighting critical environmental issues. Congratulations to Arif for this well-deserved honor.”
Jagmohan Singh Raina, chairman of All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) also congratulated Arif.
J&K Jamait-e-Hamdani Patron Moulana Mirwaiz Riyaz Hamdani and chief spokesperson GM Saqi also extended felicitations to Arif. “Water bodies, wetlands and forests in Kashmir are facing massive vandalisation. Arif has been raising awareness on the need to take measures for saving our natural assets,” Saqi said.
Kashmir News Service Editor-in-Chief Muhammad Aslam also congratulated Arif Niyaz Ellahi owner of Kashmir News Trust (KNT) also extended felicitations.
Khurshid Zargar patron Ahad Zargar Memorial Research Foundation also extended felicitations to Arif.
Er Nazir Ahmad Yatoo ex Vice Chairman JK Cements and general secretary Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) also congratulated Arif Shafi on being honored with the prestigious state award.
