Mir Fayaz said that everyone in Kashmir knows that he registered a strong protest in Parliament on the day of abrogation of Article 370. “I tore my clothes to protest against the abrogation of Article 370 following which I was marshaled out and faced one day suspension from the house,” said the former Parliamentarian.

“Instead of revealing why he and his party’s MPs including Dr Farooq and Justice Hasnain Masoodi met PM Narendra Modi on August 2 in New Delhi, he is leveling baseless allegations on me,” the PDP leader said.

“Omar Abdullah should answer about the performance of his party’s MPs with regard to safeguarding Article 370 in the Parliament. During the last five years, did his MPs talk about the jailed youth who are languishing in different jails of the country for the last so many years,” he added.

“I want to ask why only Mehbooba Mufti was asked to vacate residence at Gupkar. Why was only PDP disintegrated? All these things point out who happens to be close to New Delhi,” he said.

Mir said that with each passing day PDP was getting support across length and breadth of north Kashmir because people know who is their saviour and who are the traitors. "I am sure that the people of north Kashmir will send me to the Parliament by casting their vote in my favor on May 20," he added.
